Jamie Murray predicts Emma Raducanu competition as British tennis on the rise – EXCLUSIVE | Tennis | Sport

The world No 36 knew that the male players had formed a tight circle and expected the British women’s players to be the same, as he predicted a whole host to break into the world’s top 100 next year and join Raducany. “There’s a good group of guys there that all get on well, they’re into their tennis, they train hard and I think that just helps the level get higher,” he explained.

“I know I can imagine it’s the same with the girls as well, they’ve got a good group now from sort of 150 to 80 there’s a bunch of them and I’m sure they’ll all be competitive and wanting to do better than the others and that will push them to have good results and who knows, maybe next year at some point it could be five or six of them all inside of 100 which is amazing.”

Battle of the Brits will be shown live on the BBC Sport website and red button on Wednesday and Thursday.
